Delamina Townhouse

great ambiance, lovely space, I walked by on my way to the opera house and saw that it is such a nice place to sit, hence wanted to try. But as it is true for most london restaurants, the food is a disappointment. such a curse! nothing there that I enjoyed, I can make the same dishes 100 times better at home. I was rather surprised to see the reviews in google raving about the food here with 4.7 stars rating. we ordered a-la-cart and also theatre set menu. Theatre set menu is *must be avoided* Truffle Mushroom Dish as you see in the picture, was so heavy on batter, with heavy sauce, no flavor of truffle at all we also ordered chicken grilled dish, which was overcooked and woody dried, apart from the smokiness there is no other redeeming feature of it. all dishes served with lousy sauces and garnishes. Plus, they charged for water. Not much, but out of principle, this is greedy, Nickel-and-dime service. such a shame for a nicely decorated place in covent garden.
