The bread was sheer brilliance. So was the ceviche, lamb and decadent chocolate cake. But i can't forget whatever that crab bisque pasta was. I was being polite in getting through half. The texture was wrong, there was no semblance of bite and the circle lasagne sauce just didn't work. The ambiance was cosy and the service was prompt. But the 13.5% service charge with seemingly no opt out was gratuitous. This is still a smart bistro. Would still come back in the Spring to check out the menu again - hopefully it won't be have a hit and miss and just have bangers.
