Ye Horns Inn

I am writing to express my disappointment following a recent visit to Ye Horns Inn on Saturday. While the setting is pleasant and the venue itself has a certain charm, I was left very underwhelmed by the overall experience—particularly regarding the food and drink, which I found to be significantly overpriced for what was offered. The menu pricing suggests a fine dining experience, yet what we received was no more than standard pub fare. My wife ordered the fish of the day—I’ve attached a photo for reference—and to be frank, we were left wondering where the actual fish was. When she raised her concern about the portion size with the waitress, the only response was, “I’m sorry about that, I’ll feed that back.” It was unclear who this feedback was meant for or if it would lead to any meaningful change. To add to this, I was shocked to be charged £6.80 for a pint of Guinness. This is an excessive price, even by today’s standards, and certainly not in line with what one would expect outside of a central city location or a premium establishment. We had hoped for a memorable meal in a nice country inn, but unfortunately, the value for money just wasn’t there. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and consider aligning your pricing and service more realistically with the actual offering.
