The Walrus

The Walrus restaurant reviews

Average rating: 4.8
Unbelievable food at this price point.
We were just passing through Shrewsbury & I managed to book in for lunch. Their set menu is incredible. Not only do you get the 3 courses but bread, amuse bouche & a wee pre dessert & picture four
Their martini was spot on . The only let down for me were the oysters, they must have been shucked a while before service as they were a bit dry, but other than that the food was amazing
Highlights were the amuse bouche, the bread.. oh the bread was so good. the egg starter was unique & fantastic. The fish starter was sublime. The duck main fantastic, the fish main was great but personally wasn’t a lover of the corn, would have liked it more puree. Both deserts were delicious. The venue had a lovely atmosphere & you can eat in the bar bit too. Service was friendly yet on point. Honestly if I lived in Shrewsbury I’d eat here at least one a month.
