The Rams Head Inn

DON'T BOTHER. Last night we went to the Ram's head for a celebratory dinner. The excellent food was let down by very disappointing service. Once we'd sat down we waited fifteen minutes to be acknowledged by the waiter . When we ordered two of our party asked for a shared starter. When it arrived they requested two plates and received the snide comment 'pushing the boat out...?' From the waiter. Later, we ordered a bottle of Prosecco. This arrived warm and was poured into wine glasses (the next table had Champagne glasses). Throughout the meal the waiter' made a series of condescending comments leaving us feeling awkward and belittled. Perhaps these comments were meant to be humorous. They weren't. We won't be back!
