Brought my Mum here to celebrate her 70th birthday. Booked the Serenity spa weekend break which included dinner, bed, breakfast, one treatment and use of the spa. It was good value. Dinner was lovely, but Mum found her mackerel hadn't been prepared carefully and there were so many bones she had to be very careful when eating. Complained and the wait staff just said "oh", and cleared the plates. The rest of our food was lovely. Would be nice for fruit to be available at breakfast (not just as part of the granola option from the menu). Good selection at breakfast for veggie options too. Spa and the bedroom were clean and inviting, all staff we encountered in the hotel and spa were friendly and approachable. Staff in the restaurant were a bit snooty in our opinion. As though they're too good to serve us. Beds were comfy and we were very pleased to find a plug at the dressing table with a mirror, so blow drying our hair was easy.
