Two words. Absolutely Brilliant! I don't think I have ever been to a place quite like this and i can't imagine anything else matching it. The food, the staff, the ambience all perfect for one another. The food is absolutely spectacular, each mouthful is full of flavour and expertly crafted. You can tell Michael has thought about the flavours and has expertly designed each item on the menu. Not only that but he even came out to present one course to us at our table (Much to our surprise) Even when Michael is not coming out to present, his staff are extremely pleasant and are happy to discuss drink pairings and also inform you of the course you are about to eat (Ingredients, name, tastes etc). Each waiter/chef/waitress that came to us was full of information and polite. I could not have met a nicer group of people. Finally is the design of the place. One bit I did notice is it's all black and white with splashes of a neon yellow whilst a board (Skateboard/Snowboard etc) runs throughout. This makes more sense the more I think about it as it allows the food to be the main source of colour in the room thus not distracting your attention or influencing your taste. In short, I would highly recommend even if you only go once. I won our visit as part of a works competition however I am saving up to go back again as I have never had such a fantastic experience before :)

Our Review of The Man Behind The Curtain (May 2016)

It's safe to say The Man Behind The Curtain is one of the hottest restaurant tickets in the UK right now and it's not difficult to see why. With multiple TV appearances to showcase the ultra modern and spectacular looking food, not to mention a precious star from our favourite tyre munching inspectors, it's really no great surprise that the place is booked up for the entirety of 2016. It wouldn't surprise me if by the time I finish writing the review it's booked up for the entirety of 2017 also. But is the hype really justified? I was looking forward to finding out as I visited with my wife for dinner on a May Tuesday evening....
