The Estate Room at the Loch Rannoch Hotel

We stayed at Loch Rannoch Hotel for two nights bed and breakfast. We had a Heritage Double Room with loch view. The Heritage rooms are in the original building and our room was on the second floor. Our bedroom was really spacious with great amenities and a coffee table with two chairs by the window. However, please be aware if you book this room, the bathroom is very small. It has a shower, toilet and sink but barely any floor space. It is perfectly functional and this compromise is more than made up for by the absolutely magnificent view from the room of Loch Rannoch and Shiehallion. WiFi was very patchy at times but when it worked it was adequate. The location of the hotel is very good for both walking and exploring in a car. Breakfast was excellent on the first morning with everything cooked to order, lots of staff and first class service. The second morning was a buffet breakfast but still good although service was significantly slower due to a lot less staff. We ate at The Wild Brownie one night and the food was superb, reasonably priced and very good service. We used the spa once and had it to ourselves for a whole hour! A very relaxing experience. Overall, a very satisfying stay with mostly excellent service which was fairly good value for money in an incredibly beautiful location.
