We have been coming back to the Duck annually to celebrate our anniversary and have always loved everything about it. We arrived to find that many changes had occurred, mainly to the reception area, lounge and dining rooms all of which had been 'made over'. The bedrooms and bar are largely untouched. Comfy and convivial as ever. Another big change was the menu of both dinner and breakfast. Complex, dense dishes with an absence of fresh fruit and salad Starters and main courses were similarly rich and something lighter without cavolo Nero would have been good. Breakfast dishes too were complicated and heavy and simpler choices would have been appreciated.
