The Crusoe

Wouldn't recommend. We visited and were shown to a table. Staff cleared the table. The table was very sticky and covered in salt and pepper. Ignored at the bar by some staff but finally served by a helpful male bar tender. We ordered two haddock and chips. The menu stated fresh cooked haddock served with home made tartre sauce. When it arrived it was quite obvious the haddock was cooked from frozen ( seen replies from the owner denying food wasnt frozen...it quite obviously is! ) It looked to be boxed fish you can get from the supermarket and there was no home made tartre sauce. When asked for some we were given packet sauce ? The food was not as advertised and the price was way over the odds for what was brought out to us. We were looking to return for Sunday lunch tomorrow but we certainly won't be returning here. The 2 stars are for the young man working at the bar who was helpful and friendly.
