The Cock

We enjoyed a lovely family Sunday roast at the Cock Inn in Hitchin and had a really great experience. The food was excellent—beautifully cooked, full of flavour, and served in generous portions. The roast had everything you could want, and everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The service deserves a special mention. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. They struck the perfect balance of checking in without being intrusive, and nothing seemed too much trouble. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, making it an ideal place for a family meal. We’d happily return and would definitely recommend the Cock Inn to anyone looking for a quality Sunday roast with great service. The only reason for four stars rather than five is that there’s always room for that little extra touch—but it was a genuinely enjoyable meal and a place we’ll be visiting again.
