I can't recommend Pilgrim highly enough - they serve high quality food in a casual setting, meaning the prices are very reasonable for what you get. It sits above the communal tables of the food market below, and it's lit by skylights making it bright and airy. Our waiter was friendly and explained the menu, making recommendations when we asked for them. Once the food arrived every mouthful was delicious. The 'Sunday Roast' offer was great value for money at £20 including a drink. Will be adding it to my Liverpool recommendations list for anyone visiting.
