Me and my wife stopped here by chance for a spot of lunch and as we approach the venue we were pleasantly surprised with how beautiful the building and surrounding grounds were. The decor was perfect for the building and there were plenty of seats available to choose between in the drawing room.
The menu had a good selection for lunch and we decided to go with a veggie option and a hamburger along with two sides. This is where our experience took a turn as we had a 45 minute wait when there was only two other couples in there dinning. When they did arrive they were nice but nothing special, however one of the side dishes was the wrong one and the other was under cooked.
I don't think I'd be going back again for lunch/dinner, I would have considered going back for high tea until the fact I've just read some of the other reviews stating very similar thoughts on the high tea to what I thought of the lunch.
