Krokodilos restaurant reviews

Average rating: 4.6
Visited on Saturday night with high hopes, expecting an experience similar to Bottarga, but left feeling deeply disappointed and underwhelmed.
The food was incredibly overpriced for what it was and I’m aware of London prices but this was just ridiculous. A bread basket with oils for £11, which was simple and uninspiring. A flatbread priced at £14 was very basic, and the much-raved-about mushroom flatbread arrived with cold, curdled cheese on top. The orzo and langoustine dish was enjoyable, but unfortunately the beef was overcooked and lacked flavour, not forgetting the basic fries for £8.
What made matters worse was the service. My husband ordered a £17 cocktail served in a flimsy high-top glass, which was accidentally knocked over after just two sips. When we requested a replacement, we were very surprised to see this on the bill. It took a somewhat uncomfortable discussion to have it removed and left me feeling irritated.
The overall ambience wasn’t great either—it was too bright and lacked warmth, which didn’t help the underwhelming food and service. At £100 per head, including one drink a couple of dishes and no dessert, the experience felt overpriced and unsatisfying. We left hungry and disappointed.
Many other restaurants offer a better experience for both food and atmosphere. I would not recommend and suggest looking elsewhere.
