JM Oriental

We had a late lunch at JM Oriental and it turned into a truly amazing experience. We had pre ordered the wagyu beef puff and the scallop and prawn angel hair dim sum, and both dishes were exceptional. The wagyu puff arrived perfectly crisp with a rich, tender filling, while the angel hair dim sum was delicate, fragrant and full of depth. The egg custard lava bao was another standout, warm and silky with a rich flavour that felt like a small dessert in itself. As a Chinese diner who is very particular about recommendations, especially after living in South East Asia for ten years, I was genuinely impressed by the quality and precision of every dish. Service was calm, attentive and perfectly paced, and the whole meal carried a sense of care and refinement. JM Oriental is a standout in London and one I would happily return to.
