Dosa at the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair London Hotel

A truly wonderful dining experience. To me, the pleasure is beyond mere ingredients or taste but from the creativity of the menu, the amazing wine selections, and the fun conversations with the team. Where do I start, the menu focuses on Asian cuisine, specifically Korean cuisine; the blend of ingredients such as Ganjang and Gochujang with seafood and meats creates layers of flavors that elevate the original taste of the food. My favorites are lobster kimbab and Uni & crab bibimbab. These are my go-tos when I crave hearty Korean food. Yet Dosa brought it to the next level with freshest seafood and traditional sauces that I absolutely I enjoyed every bite. The wine paring is fun and delicious! We trusted our somm Andres to bring whatever he thinks that fits the food(and the mood). We’ve tried wine from Lebanon, Niagara Canada, Virginia America, Australia and much more. Being a wine student I was humbled and impressed by the beautiful wines from the “off the beaten path” regions of the world. I also enjoyed the chat with the chefs as they shared how they make their own Ganjang (soy sauce) and how they choose ingredients. Dining at Dosa is something spectacular and will be on my agenda next time I visit London. A big thanks to chef Kim, Harald, Andres, and the team for making a memorable evening for us.
