The Restaurant at Macdonald Crutherland House

This is one of those places where a few changes and some investment could make this one of the best hotels in Glasgow. The service is exemplary throughout, with particular credit to reception and the bar staff. The food is also outstanding - credit to the chef. The let downs are small but plentiful. Reception has had the money spent, elsewhere it is clear how dated things are. The bar area is small and looks like a throwback from the 1990's. The television in the bar area does not appear to have Sky/BT Sports. To some this is something of nothing, but to many of your customers (me included) this is a negative. It has to be said the seats and sofas are very good! The rooms can take a little finding as the signing is not great. The room I stayed in was clean and spacious. The problem was the overall feel. They require refurbishment now. They are not unpleasant, just a little uninspired. That said, I would stay again because the staff are excellent, the pricing was competitive and food delicious.
