Colquhoun's Restaurant at The Lodge on Loch Lomond

Extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. We visited on a Monday evening in August. There was no one on reception on arrival so we found the restaurant but it wasn't clear who was in charge or where to go. There is no doubt this is an excellent setting for a meal. The views are amazing but unfortunately the dining experience does not match it in any way. We had a selection from the menu and although in general the food was adequate it arrived within minutes of being ordered which makes me suspicious it is not freshly prepared and we were served by many staff members. This leads to a confused feel and you feel very rushed. My main meal arrived before I could ask for a wine list. In the end I didn't bother ordering one as i had nearly finished eating when they asked what I wanted. I am really disappointed and feel it a real shame that this stunning setting feels nothing more than dining in a cafeteria. The prices are simply not justified for what was pretty awful. We won't go back
