Allt yr Afon Restaurant at The Wolfscastle

Incredible meal - should be Michelin starred. I cannot sing the praises of this Restaurant more, have eaten in many top establishments across the UK and Europe and this is honestly second to none. Every course was just perfect and we were a party of 2 so I tasted most of the menu as we ordered different on all courses. The beef and lamb on the mains incredibly well cooked as well as the pigeon starter, tender and perfectly accompanied. The smoke reveal at the table was a nice touch. Soufflé dessert was incredible. Above and beyond were the extras - crab taster course and the beetroot goats cheese arancini so delicious. You often get a sorbet as a pre dessert but here it was a beautiful picture (see photos) and totally delicious, honestly if that had been the end I would still have been happy. We met the chef and I’d like to thank him for what was a truly excellent meal but also to Reece who was our front of house, he was very informative and his attention to detail, polite and pleasant chat throughout the meal were welcomed. He made sure we had everything we needed. Best meal I’ve had in a very long time, thanks so much. Nicky and Pete (29 years!!)
