Phoned up on Saturday morning to see if we could go for breakfast, very accommodating despite us being a little later than intended. Wished to sit outside because of the stunning weather and the gentleman serving us was more than happy to assist. Best cooked breakfast I’ve ever had. The black pudding was delicious, when we asked about it ,we were told it was made on site. Only a shame because we couldn’t go and buy any! Coffee was divine. Fabulous service. Would return next week!! Great way to start our day exploring the surrounding countryside.
Our only suggestion for improvement is the bread available with the breakfast, which was wholemeal or white. They were lovely and fresh, however with so many bread varieties available (sourdough granary etc) I was surprised to see such a standard sliced loaf in the bread bin. As others mentioned would suit the rest of the quality of the food. This suggestion would not affect our return one bit!! Posted by Laura Beesley 2 months ago
