Unlike many other UK and Ireland food guides, the AA Guide is constantly updated throughout the year. The AA Guide restaurant changes from around 13/09/2015 are detailed below. We list both increases and decreases in AA Rosette awards, as well as complete removals from the AA Guide.
The AA continually inspects restaurants throughout the year. A restaurant can be awarded one or two AA Rosettes at any time, however three and four Rosettes are only awarded twice a year, and five Rosettes only once per year. The above table lists the restaurants that were awarded more AA Rosettes around the date specified.
AA Rosettes Reduced To Zero
Pied a Terre
The Packhorse Inn
Restaurants that have their AA Rosettes reduced to zero still appear in the AA Guide, however they may subsequently be removed. AA Rosettes are usually reduced to zero when a change of chef or other major change takes place. Whilst a restaurant has zero AA Rosettes, it will not appear in our database (unless it also holds other awards).
Removed from AA Guide
The Keepers Arms
The above restaurants no longer appear in the AA Guide. This is most often due to restaurant closure, however the AA can remove any restaurant from their guide at any time if it no longer meets the required standards to be eligible for one or more AA Rosettes.
