AA Guide Changes - 01/03/2015

Unlike many other UK and Ireland food guides, the AA Guide is constantly updated throughout the year. The AA Guide restaurant changes from around 01/03/2015 are detailed below. We list both increases and decreases in AA Rosette awards, as well as complete removals from the AA Guide.

AA Rosettes Decreased

Name Location Old Award New Award
Farlam Hall Hotel Cumbria AA RosetteAA Rosette AA Rosette
Any restaurant that when inspected, is no longer deemed to meet the standards of a previous AA Rosette award, can have its AA Rosettes reduced at any time. This usually comes in the form of restaurants previously holding two AA Rosettes being reduced to one. The restaurants above had their AA Rosettes reduced around the date specified.

AA Rosettes Reduced To Zero

Name Location Old Award New Award
Lower Slaughter Manor Cheltenham AA RosetteAA RosetteAA Rosette -
Darroch Learg Hotel Ballater AA RosetteAA Rosette -
Restaurants that have their AA Rosettes reduced to zero still appear in the AA Guide, however they may subsequently be removed. AA Rosettes are usually reduced to zero when a change of chef or other major change takes place. Whilst a restaurant has zero AA Rosettes, it will not appear in our database (unless it also holds other awards).

Removed from AA Guide

Name Location Old Award New Award
The Bell at Skenfrith Skenfrith AA RosetteAA Rosette -
The British Larder Suffolk Woodbridge AA RosetteAA Rosette -
The Bull at Broughton Skipton AA Rosette -
The above restaurants no longer appear in the AA Guide. This is most often due to restaurant closure, however the AA can remove any restaurant from their guide at any time if it no longer meets the required standards to be eligible for one or more AA Rosettes.
